Please join us in carrying out our mission (http://www.urc-chs.com/).Division & Project OverviewThe Quality and Performance Institute (QPI) is a division of URC that has implemented quality improvement and operations research programs in health care since 1981 and continues to be at the cutting edge of health care improvement work in countries around the world.Background.USAID RHITES NORTH ACHOLI activity is funded by United States Agency for International Development implemented and managed by University Research CO., LLC. The activity provides technical support and assistance to the Ministry of Health and USG implementing partners to institutionalize the Quality Improvement approach with a goal of improving outcomes for the served populations.Roles And Responsibilities.Develop and implement QI work plans to address priority quality gaps in line with the strategy for national level scale up.Develop and test tools and guidelines for QI activities and support their roll out through the Ministry of Health structures.Build the capacity of the IPs, regional, district QI teams to use the QI approach to improve the quality of care.Coordinate and liaise with the relevant Ministry of Health departments to implement QI interventions for the MoH priority areas.Facilitate peer-to-peer learning sessions, synthesize and document emerging changes.Document best practices in form of case studies, success stories, abstracts, video clips in addition to the routine monthly updates, quarterly and annual reports.Guide and facilitate quality data collection to capture process and outcome indicators across partnersCollect, review and manage data from the health facility/community teams, and maintain QI and M&E databases for sites supported.Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisorRequired Qualifications, Experience And CompetencesBachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Medicine, Nursing, Public health, or related fieldAn advanced degree in Public Health is an added advantageAdequate knowledge and at least 5 years’ experience of quality improvementExperience working with PEPFAR supported HIV care and treatment programsKnowledge and experience of public health systems in UgandaDemonstratable mentorship and facilitation skillsHaving a minimum knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel minimum) and the Internet; experiences in conducting training; good written and oral communication skillsAbility to collect, analyze quantitative and qualitative data, evaluate quality data, and present findings in clear and effective formatFamiliar with basic communication technology to manage virtual meetingsTo ApplyFor immediate consideration, please visit URC’s Career Opportunities page at www.urc-chs.com/careers.You must upload your CV/Résumé and your Cover Letter where indicated by the 14th April 2022- please indicate the position you are applying for.Due to the large number of inquiries we receive, only candidates who have met the required experience & qualifications for this position will be contacted.
