Bowen Hospital are looking for a Principal House Officer or Registrar to join their team on a Temporary Full-Time or Temporary Part-Time basis from 06 February 2023 for 12 months. About The Bowen HospitalBowen Hospital is comprised of 20 beds and 9 bed alternatives chemotherapy chair and renal dialysis , 24/7 emergency acute and subacute inpatients unit and outpatient services and provides the following health services:Acute inpatient care, including 4 monitored inpatient beds;Accident and emergency;Community and primary healthcare;Mental Health outreachPalliative inpatient care;Outreach specialists from Mackay and Townsville including orthopaedics and endocrinology;Maternity and women’s services, with both medical and midwife models; antenatal postnatal EDMS contraception servicesAcute beds may be occupied by long-term nursing home residents, due to lack of available beds in the community;Allied Health including physiotherapy, , occupational therapy, speech therapy, social work, pharmacist radiographers, and outreach dietician .Nurse navigator and community Liaison NurseChild health services including immunisation.Medical Imaging CT, Xray, Ultrasound and OPG for inpatients emergency presentations and booked outpatient.Salary BenefitsRemuneration value up to $154,716.40 p.a. comprising salary between $4,458.40 p.f. – $5,169.20 p.f. (L4 – L9), or remuneration value up to $147,021.75 p.a. comprising salary between $4,458.40 p.f. – $4,910.70 p.f. (L4-L7) employer superannuation contribution (up to 12.75%), annual leave loading (17.5%). Applications will remain current for the duration of the vacancy. Job Ad Reference: MK455575Mandatory Qualifications/Professional Registration/Other RequirementsMandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in €œrelevant occupation€ and be registered with the €œrelevant agency€.Enrolment in the ACRRM and/or RACGP training pathways is preferred, though not a requirement for the role.Candidates must provide certified copies of requested proof of identify documents for the purposes of general Criminal history and National Police Certificate checks.Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster.Licence to Operate Vehicle: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) Requirements: It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment: measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chicken pox), pertussis (whooping cough).Vaccination Requirements (COVID-19): It is a mandatory condition of employment for this role for the incumbent to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
